British Airways has announced the launch of a number of new routes to its short-haul network, which is excellent news for travelers. Enhanced connectivity and new opportunities are provided by these new routes for both business and leisure tourists.
This winter, British Airways wants to expand its short-haul network by adding additional routes from London Heathrow to places like Riga, Belgrade, and Cologne.
Beginning on October 29, there will be three flights per week to Riga, Latvia. Also, three flights per week to Belgrade, Serbia, starting on October 31. A320 and A321 aircraft will be used for a combination of both services.
Beginning on October 30, new services to the German city of Cologne will run 12 times per week.
The airline further announced that it would maintain operations of its four-times-weekly service to Ljubljana, Slovenia, as well as its four-times-weekly service to Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Istanbul, which began in June 2023 to supplement services to Istanbul Airport (IST).
The availability of weekly winter flights from Heathrow to Turin, Italy, will also increase starting on December 10. This will supplement the company’s Gatwick-based subsidiary BA Euroflyer’s present daily service from London Gatwick.
There will be a Club Europe (business class) option accessible on all flights, which includes access to pre-flight lounges where available, full food service, priority boarding, and more baggage allowance.
With direct flights on Thursday and Sunday to the Basque Country, BA Cityflyer will continue its service to San Sebastian, Spain, during the winter.
The carrier’s BA Cityflyer subsidiary, based at London City Airport, will also extend services, including a new weekly route to Milan Linate Airport beginning on November 5. This flight will supplement those already operating from London Heathrow.
